- I want to have LPG conversion done to my vehicle? What should I pay attention to?
Be sure to have your vehicle's LPG conversion done by companies that have a TSE authorization certificate and employ authorized mechanical engineers. There are two issues to consider in LPG conversion: brand and workmanship. The product you choose to convert must be suitable for your vehicle and the installation work must be done by qualified craftsmen.

- How can I operate the LPG installation in my vehicle according to my license?
If there is no project for your LPG installation in your vehicle, the vehicle will be checked by an authorized mechanical engineer at an authorized LPG&CNG conversion service and the vehicle will be projected. Our customer must obtain an LPG gas tightness report from MMO (MAK Engineering Chamber) together with the project he has received, by making an online appointment. With the gas tightness report he/she has received, he/she goes to the vehicle inspection station TÜVTURK and has his/her vehicle periodically inspected. After the vehicle passes the inspection, the license holder goes to the traffic registry office of the police department in the district where he/she resides, changes the license sheets and obtains the license whose fuel type is petrol-LPG. The legal period given to operate the license is 1 month, and if this legal period is exceeded, a late notification fee of 55 TL is charged.
- How Safe is it to Use LPG in Vehicles?
Vehicles converted to autogas in accordance with the standards are at least as safe as vehicles using other fuels. Safety concerns regarding the filling and storage of autogas in vehicles are generally greater than they should be. The safety level of autogas is equal to or even higher than petrol and diesel. Because the tanks used in autogas systems are much more durable than petrol and diesel tanks. Autogas is kept under pressure in tanks that prevent the danger of leakage.

LPG is safer than petrol if installed correctly. LPG is stored in pressurized cast steel tanks that have passed impact and destruction tests and have inlet locking and over-temperature control valves. In addition to the multi-valve (multi-float) connected to the tanks, a multi-control unit that controls the liquid LPG level in the tank and LPG inlets and outlets, an additional valve is installed in new applications. There is a manually controlled valve on the multivalve to open and close the transmission lines of the gas entering and leaving the tank. These valves are used to close the LPG inlet and outlet in case of maintenance, accident and fire. In addition to the overflow valve on the multivalve, thanks to the coil valve that comes with the new application, in the event of a rear collision with the vehicle and the transmission pipes rupture or break, both valves are activated and automatically locks the system.
- Maintenance and Controls of LPG Vehicles
Your LPG vehicle should be checked within the first 1000 km after installation, and then the filter should be maintained periodically every 10,000 km. Additionally, the injector should be cleaned every 30,000 km. These maintenances are necessary checks to ensure that you can use your vehicle safely.
- What should I do if I detect a gas leak in my vehicle's LPG installation?
If you smell gas from the vehicle, the first thing you should do is to put your vehicle in gas mode. When the vehicle switches to gas mode, the valves in the LPG system automatically cut off the gas and then have the vehicle checked at an authorized service.

In order to have the LPG installation removed, have your vehicle dismantled at an authorized LPG conversion service and your vehicle must be inspected and removed from the license by obtaining an LPG disassembly project from an authorized project center.
- Do I want to have the LPG installation in my vehicle installed in another vehicle?
LPG system serial numbers, like vehicle identification information, are also recorded for the sealing and inspection of that vehicle, so you do not have the chance to remove the system of a vehicle recorded on the license and install it on another vehicle.
- Does LPG Cause Engine Overheating?
Provided that the LPG system is selected in accordance with the engine structures and operating principles of the vehicles and a quality installation is made, there will be no heat (heat rise) problem in autogas vehicles. If a product suitable for the speed of the vehicle is not installed and the settings of the LPG system are not made well, the engine water of your LPG vehicle should be checked in the first 3 days after the installation. If there is a decrease, it should be checked at the service.

EXHAUST GAS EMISSION MEASUREMENT IS CARRIED OUT BY THE MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT AND FORESTRY AND THIS SERVICE IS PROVIDED AT AUTHORIZED EMISSION MEASUREMENT STATIONS. LEGALLY, EMISSION MEASUREMENT IS NOT REQUIRED FROM NEW VEHICLES FOR THE FIRST THREE YEARS. IF YOUR VEHICLE IS OVER 10 YEARS OLD (BELOW A 2002 MODEL), YOUR EMISSION MEASUREMENT PERIOD IS 1 YEAR. IF YOUR VEHICLE IS UNDER 10 YEARS OLD (MODEL OVER 2002), EMISSION MEASUREMENT IN PRIVATE VEHICLES AND OFF-ROAD VEHICLES MUST BE MADE EVERY 2 (TWO) YEARS. FOR OTHER VEHICLE TYPES (COMMERCIAL, TRUCK, PICKUP, ETC.), EMISSION MEASUREMENTS MUST BE MADE EVERY YEAR, REGARDLESS OF AGE. EMISSION MEASUREMENT CONTROL IS SERIOUSLY CHECKED LEGALLY IN TRAFFIC INSPECTIONS AND IF IT IS NOT DONE, THERE ARE HEAVY FINE.
